4. CLIENT OBLIGATIONS
As a Client, you agree to:
a) Provide accurate and complete information regarding the Consignment.
b) Ensure clear and safe access to both pickup and delivery locations, including parking, building access, and elevator availability.
c) Inform us of any restrictive conditions (narrow stairs, no elevator, building regulations) prior to the move.
d) Ensure all appliances (washing machines, refrigerators, ACs) are disconnected, drained, and prepared for transport prior to our team's arrival.
e) Keep all valuables (jewelry, cash, documents, laptops, mobile phones) in your personal possession.
f) Obtain any necessary permits or approvals required for moving in or out of specific premises.
g) Make payments as per the agreed terms in the Quote.
h) Be present at both pickup and delivery locations at the agreed time, or arrange a responsible representative.
5. TRANSIT INSURANCE — IMPORTANT NOTICE
a) Insurance is NOT Included by Default: Transit insurance is NOT automatically included in any Service package — whether the move is local, within the city, inter-city, or interstate. Insurance must be explicitly requested and purchased separately by the Client at the time of booking.
b) No Liability Without Insurance: If the Client chooses not to purchase Transit Insurance, Peacekeeper Movers & Packers shall NOT be held liable for any loss, damage, breakage, or destruction of any item in the Consignment — howsoever caused — during packing, loading, transit, unloading, or placement. This applies equally to local shifts and long-distance interstate relocations.
c) Client's Informed Decision: By proceeding without opting for Transit Insurance, the Client acknowledges and accepts full risk of loss or damage to the Consignment. Peacekeeper Movers & Packers will not entertain any claims for compensation or replacement in the absence of a valid insurance policy.
d) Insurance Option: Clients who wish to protect their Consignment may opt for Transit Insurance at the time of booking. Claims are processed directly with the third-party insurance provider.
e) Strongly Recommended: We strongly recommend all Clients — especially those with high-value, fragile, or irreplaceable items — to opt for Transit Insurance regardless of the distance of the move.
6. WAITING CHARGES — TRUCK & LABOUR
a) Free Waiting Period: Peacekeeper Movers & Packers provides a complimentary waiting period of up to 8 (eight) hours from the scheduled reporting time of our crew and vehicle at the pickup or delivery location.
b) Waiting Charges Applicable After 8 Hours: If the move cannot commence or continue due to any reason attributable to the Client — including delayed access, elevator unavailability, incomplete packing, delayed payment, Client absence, society/building restrictions, or any other Client-side delay — waiting charges will be levied as follows:
Labour Waiting Charges: ₹1,000 per hour (or part thereof) after the 8-hour free period.
Vehicle/Truck Waiting Charges: ₹500 per hour (or part thereof) after the 8-hour free period.
c) These charges apply to both origin and destination locations and may be charged for delays at either or both ends.
d) If the delay is caused by factors beyond the Client's reasonable control (building management restrictions, society rules), the same waiting charges apply, as our crew and vehicle remain exclusively engaged for the Client's move.
7. HOME HANDLING CHARGES — CLIENT ABSENCE
a) Client Presence Required: The Client or a responsible authorized representative is expected to be present at both pickup and delivery locations at the time of the move.
b) Client Absence Charge: If the Client is not present and authorizes our team to proceed independently — including accessing, handling, packing, or placing items without supervision — a Home Handling Charge of ₹1,000 (One Thousand Rupees) will be levied per location.
c) No Liability for Unverified Conditions: In the event of Client absence, Peacekeeper Movers & Packers will not be responsible for any claims regarding the condition, placement, or inventory of items, as there is no Client representative to verify the same.
d) Authorization: Proceeding with the move in the Client's absence shall be deemed as implied authorization, and the Client waives any claims arising out of such handling.
8. LIFT / ELEVATOR UNAVAILABILITY CHARGES
a) Lift Dependency: Our standard Service quotation assumes normal elevator/lift access at both origin and destination premises for movement of all goods.
b) Manual Carry Charges: If any item cannot be moved via the lift due to size, malfunction, building restriction, or any other reason, and must be manually carried via staircases, additional Manual Carry Charges will be levied based on:
Number of items
Floor level
Weight and dimensions of the item
c) On-Site Quotation: These charges will be communicated to the Client on-site before the manual carry is undertaken. Proceeding with the manual carry constitutes acceptance of the applicable charges.
d) No Advance Notice: If the Client fails to inform us of lift unavailability prior to the move and our crew arrives to find such conditions, manual carry charges will apply in addition to the agreed Quote.
9. PRICING & PAYMENT
a) The Quote is based on information provided by the Client and our pre-move survey. Any discrepancy in inventory, access conditions, or additional services may result in adjusted charges.
b) Additional charges (waiting, home handling, manual carry, etc.) are payable on-site or at final settlement.
c) All prices are exclusive of GST and applicable taxes unless explicitly stated.
d) Payment methods: bank transfer, UPI, online payment gateway. Cash as per prior agreement.
10. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
a) Cancellation 1 or more days prior: Advance may be refunded minus administrative charges.
b) Cancellation less than 1 day prior: Advance/booking fee may be forfeited.
c) Rescheduling 1 or more days prior: Accommodated without charges, subject to availability.
d) Rescheduling less than 1 day prior: Rescheduling fee may apply.
e) Cancellation by Company: Full refund of payments made for unrendered services.
11. LIABILITY
a) Without Transit Insurance, Peacekeeper Movers & Packers bears NO liability for any damage to the Consignment (refer to Section 5).
b) We are not liable for unavoidable scratching or scuffing to floors, walls, or furniture caused by movement of items in confined spaces.
