Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the services provided by Peacekeeper Movers & Packers ("us," "we," or "our"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access or use our services.
Introduction & Agreement
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the relocation, packing, and associated services ("Services") provided by Peacekeeper Movers & Packers. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you ("Client," "you," or "your") and Peacekeeper Movers & Packers. Your acceptance of our quote or booking of our Services signifies your acknowledgment and agreement to these Terms.
Definitions
"Company," "we," "us," "our": Refers to Peacekeeper Movers & Packers.
"Client," "you," "your": Refers to the individual or entity booking or using our Services.
"Services": Refers to the relocation, packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, transportation (including car and bike transport), storage, and any other related services offered by Peacekeeper Movers & Packers.
"Consignment": Refers to all items, goods, or property entrusted to us by the Client for the purpose of relocation or storage.
"Quote": Refers to the estimated cost provided by the Company to the Client for specific Services.
Scope of Services
Peacekeeper Movers & Packers agrees to provide the Services as detailed in the accepted Quote or Service Agreement. Our Services typically include:
Pre-Move Survey: An assessment of your relocation needs, including inventory, access, and special requirements.
Packing: Professional packing of household goods, office equipment, or other items using appropriate materials (if opted for).
Loading & Unloading: Careful loading of the Consignment onto our vehicles and unloading at the destination.
Transportation: Safe and timely transport of the Consignment using suitable vehicles.
Unpacking: Unpacking of goods and basic arrangement at the destination (if opted for).
Specialized Transport: Car and Bike transportation services (if opted for).
Ancillary Services: Additional services such as dismantling/reassembly of furniture, storage, etc., as explicitly agreed upon.
Client Obligations
As a Client, you agree to:
Accurate Information: Provide accurate and complete information regarding the Consignment, including item details, quantities, fragile items, and any special handling instructions.
Access & Conditions: Ensure clear and safe access to both pickup and delivery locations, including parking, building access, and elevator availability. Inform us of any restrictive conditions (e.g., narrow stairs, no elevator, specific building regulations).
Item Preparation: Unless "packing services" are explicitly included in your Quote, you are responsible for adequately packing all items, especially fragile or valuable ones.
Disconnection of Appliances: Ensure all appliances (e.g., washing machines, refrigerators, ACs) are disconnected, drained, and prepared for transport prior to our team's arrival.
Valuables & Documents: Keep all valuable items (e.g., jewelry, cash, precious metals), personal documents, sensitive data, and irreplaceable items in your personal possession. Do not include these in the Consignment entrusted to us.
Permits & Approvals: Obtain any necessary permits, approvals, or permissions required for moving in or out of specific premises or localities.
Payment: Make payments as per the agreed terms in the Quote.
Prohibited Items: Refrain from including any prohibited items in the Consignment (refer to Section 9).
Pricing & Payment
Quote Basis: The Quote provided by us is based on the information provided by you and our pre-move survey (if conducted). Any significant discrepancy in inventory, access conditions, or additional services requested after the Quote may result in adjusted charges.
Payment Terms: Payment terms will be specified in your Quote. This may include an advance payment/booking fee and the remaining balance due upon delivery or completion of services.
Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods as communicated to you (e.g., bank transfer, UPI, online payment gateway). Cash payments may be accepted as per prior agreement.
GST & Taxes: All prices quoted are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Fees: Fees may apply for cancellations or rescheduling if not within the stipulated notice period (refer to Section 6).
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation by Client:
If you cancel the Services 1 days or more prior to the scheduled moving date, your advance payment may be refunded, minus any administrative charges.
If you cancel less than 1 days prior to the scheduled moving date, the advance payment/booking fee may be forfeited to cover administrative and logistical costs.
Specific cancellation terms will be detailed in your Quote/Booking Confirmation.
Rescheduling by Client:
Rescheduling requests made 1 days or more prior to the scheduled moving date may be accommodated without additional charges, subject to availability.
Rescheduling requests made less than 1 days prior may incur a rescheduling fee.
Cancellation by Company: In rare circumstances (e.g., unforeseen operational issues, force majeure events), Peacekeeper Movers & Packers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule Services. In such cases, we will provide reasonable notice and offer alternative arrangements or a full refund of any payments made for unrendered services.
Liability & Insurance
Company's Liability: Our liability for loss or damage to your Consignment is limited to the extent specified in these Terms. We exercise reasonable care and skill in performing the Services.
Standard Liability: Unless additional Transit Insurance is purchased by the Client, our liability for any loss or damage to goods will be limited to [e.g., INR 1,000 per package or INR 100 per kg, whichever is less, or a maximum total liability of INR X] for any damage or loss during transit. This limited liability is for basic handling and transport and does not cover specific item value.
Damages to Property: We will take reasonable care to avoid damage to your premises. However, we are not liable for unavoidable scratching or scuffing to floors, walls, or furniture caused by the movement of items, especially in confined spaces or due to pre-existing conditions of the property.
Client's Responsibility:
You are responsible for ensuring that all items are fit for transport and are not inherently defective.
You are responsible for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these Terms, including improper packing (if self-packed) or including prohibited items.
Transit Insurance: We strongly recommend that you opt for comprehensive Transit Insurance to cover your Consignment against unforeseen damages or losses during transit. This insurance is provided by a third-party insurer and is subject to their terms and conditions. The premium and coverage details will be explicitly mentioned in your Quote if opted for. Claims under Transit Insurance will be directly processed with the insurance provider.
Claims & Disputes
Reporting Damage/Loss: Any claim for loss or damage to the Consignment must be reported to our team immediately upon delivery and noted on the delivery receipt/acknowledgment. A detailed written claim, supported by photographic evidence, must be submitted to us within [e.g., 24-48] hours of delivery.
Investigation: We will investigate all claims diligently. Failure to report damages within the stipulated timeframe may affect your claim.
Resolution: We will endeavor to resolve all legitimate claims amicably. Disputes not resolved through direct negotiation may be referred to an agreed-upon dispute resolution mechanism (e.g., mediation, arbitration) as per Indian law.
Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from inclusion in the Consignment:
Hazardous materials (e.g., flammable liquids, explosives, corrosive substances).
Perishable goods (e.g., food items, plants).
Live animals or plants (unless specific pet/plant relocation services are arranged and explicitly agreed upon).
Illegal substances or stolen property.
Valuables (cash, jewelry, precious metals, deeds, negotiable instruments, documents, keys, mobile phones, laptops, etc. – these must be carried by the Client).
Sensitive data or confidential documents.
The Company reserves the right to refuse to transport any item deemed unsafe, illegal, or not suitable for standard relocation.
Force Majeure
Peacekeeper Movers & Packers shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations under these Terms caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, natural disasters (e.g., floods, earthquakes), extreme weather conditions, road closures, government actions, or utility failures.
Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Peacekeeper Movers & Packers or its content suppliers and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our express written permission.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
